About Calorie Crusaders

About ten years ago, I was counting calories and had also become interested in web design. Somewhere along the way, those two interests came together and Calorie Crusaders was born.

When I went looking for a domain name, I typed in Calorie Crusaders and discovered that no one else had thought of it—or at least no one had registered it. I grabbed the name, built a simple website, and started writing about my experiences with counting calories.

Something unexpected happened.

The more I wrote, and the more I shared my articles on Facebook, the more motivated I became to lose weight. Writing about what I was doing gave me accountability. It made me pay attention. It made me try harder.

Eventually, life got difficult and calorie counting had to take a back seat. Calorie Crusaders sat quietly for years.

Now I’m ready to bring it back.

I’m still on my own weight loss journey, and I’m certainly not claiming to have all the answers. I’m sharing what I’m doing, what I’m learning, what works for me, and probably some of the things that don’t work along the way.

Calorie Crusaders gives me accountability, and that makes me try harder.

My hope is that somewhere along the way I’ll reach other people who can relate to what I’m going through. Maybe something I learn will help someone else. Maybe one of my recipes, resources, or experiences will give somebody an idea they can put to good use.

And maybe we can make some progress together.

Small changes make a big difference.
